Addition Dice Game: Years 1 and 2
This is a fun addition dice game for grades K - 1 to practise addition either mentally or using visual aids to help. Children will roll dice either 2, 3 or 4 times (depending on ability) and add them together. You can set different challenges each time (highest total score, lowest total score, quickest to complete, etc.).

Outdoor Subtraction Task Cards: Reception - Year 1
Using physical materials outdoors is a great way to introduce your students to subtraction. For this activity they take a task card and use leaves, stones, and sticks to help them work out the simple subtraction on the card.
This resource contains two levels of differentiation:
Diff 1 (green) – Numbers 1 to 10
Diff 2 (blue) – Numbers 10 – 15
To help the task cards last, we laminate the them and get our student to write the answers on in removable pen.

A fun Easter maths activity which consists of 24 differentiated maths puzzles that make Easter themed shapes where children must work out the answers to questions to match the pieces together. This is a perfect activity for fun revision lessons as you are winding down for the holidays!

Counting and adding outdoors is great fun with this simple activity where students will fill in the grids with the correct number of items. For example, they may be asked to fill in six squares with four leaves and two stones.
This is a great way to introduce them to both counting as well as simple addition. It’s best to laminate this resource or print it on card so that it can be used multiple times.

Counting Outdoors: Numbers 1 - 20
Using natural resources outside is a great way to engage your early counters. This outdoor math resource is designed to get students taking part in a fun and physical activity while becoming efficient counters in real world situations with number 1 1 - 20. They will use the visual task cards to collect a handful of a natural resource, count how many they’ve collected, and record it on the sheet.
These cards can be laminated and written on with board makers so they can be used time and time again. This is a great activity for students to do either in pairs or individually.
Extension: Once the students have collected and counted their natural objects, they can use these objects (and more if needed), to create the number on the floor.

This multiplication facts dice game for the 5 x table is great for getting your class practicing their multiplication recall without them even realizing they’re learning!
They will roll a dice and complete the matching multiplications on the activity sheet until all multiplications are complete.

Number Art - Outdoor Counting Activity
This is a fun activity to get your little ones counting to 10 as well as being creative while exploring the natural world.
They will collect a specified number of leaves and stick them on a piece of paper to make their artistic master piece.
You can then laminate these and they can be used as their very own visual number line. For best results print the sheets onto A3 paper and get the children to collect small leaves so they easily fit into the boxes.
